Boat being inspected by a man

Boat inspections

Additional Information

Get a good look at a motorboat, yacht, sailboat, or any other watercraft, all without leaving your office or home. We’ll inspect so that you can be confident in your purchase or facilitate your sale.

Specific images and data points collected:

  • VIN number
  • Exterior and interior photos of watercraft
  • Images of props, jets, and rudders
  • Hour meter
  • Throttle
  • Data/serial plates
  • Storage areas
  • PDF report, with repair pricing info

CAUTION ⚠: Never buy a boat without putting it in the water first. Boats operate different in water when they are under pressure!

Once you set up an appointment our inspector will call you to get the necessary information and to address any concerns you may have or special request before the inspection.

You will also receive a call to help you understand the report or answer any questions.

A boat inspection, also called ‘boat survey’ is necessary before purchase and before every voyage.

Before purchase, a boat surveyor is hired by the buyer and the seller to inspect the boat properly. It is the goal of the surveyor to make sure that the buyer’s interests will be matched with the boat’s condition.
